    Speak Up Survey

    Make Your Voice Heard!

Speak Up is a national survey about technology in education that is administered throughout the country from October  - January 31st.  As VCPUSD builds a five-year technology plan, the data from the survey will inform our strategy.  The survey can be taken by students, parents, staff, and community members.  Click here to Speak Up!

ATTENDANCE matters at Pauma School! School success goes hand in hand with good attendance. Be here (every day and all day).

    What can you do?

    • Set a regular bed time and morning routine.

    • Lay out clothes and pack backpacks the night before.

    • Don’t let your child stay home unless she is truly sick. Keep in mind complaints of a stomach ache or headache can be a sign of anxiety and not a reason to stay home.

    • If your child seems anxious about going to school, talk to teachers, school counselors, or other parents for advice on how to make her feel comfortable and excited about learning.

    • Develop back-up plans for getting to school if something comes up. Call on a family member, a neighbor, or another parent.

    • Avoid medical appointments and extended trips when school is in session.

    About Our School

Thank you for visiting our website!  Pauma School is a rural TK-8 school in northeast San Diego County with an enrollment of 220 students.  We are committed to academic excellence in a safe, caring community.  Our goals include increasing academic achievement and to increase parent involvement. Teachers are able to address the individual needs of students as a result of these efforts through Response to Intervention and implementation of intervention strategies.

This dedicated and supportive staff has worked to increase student achievement.  In addition to a well-rounded curriculum that meets all state standards, we offer physical education, technology instruction, music, and an athletic program to include golf instruction with an award winning golf facility.  We have an after-school program with a focus on academics, athletics, and the arts.  Our students are provided with many wonderful learning opportunities through our library, cutting edge classroom technology, field trips, focus classes, character programs, student assemblies, and family learning events.  These activities help enrich our students’ lives and improve their knowledge and skills.
